No Longer In Use
These days, no one really adds lye to paints. For one thing, Sherwin-Williams usually mixes oil or water into their products. As a matter of fact, lye is typically seen as a chemical paint remover instead. At this point, blue paint’s ability to prevent bugs has become a legend of some sort. Are people aware of this? If they are, they have probably kept the color the same for a different reason.
More Than Meets The Eye
We can’t help but wonder if there is more to this story than meets the eye. Fair enough, myths and legends have always played a role in our use of color. We all know that the American South has a fascinating history. They follow many traditions that began a long time ago. On top of that, we agree that the color blue is pleasant. It is hard to go wrong when you pick such a versatile color.
