The Amber Room

The Amber Room was formerly a luxurious room used to impressed visitors. It was certainly a sight to behold with its lavish amber panel design with golden leaves and enormous mirrors. The room was located in the Catherine Palace in Tsarskoye Selo. During World War II, the Nazis ransacked the room and took all of its contents back to Germany. They wanted to create a room similar to the Amber Room. However, it seems like Germany did not succeed in this attempt. Up to this day, the contents of the rooms have yet to be recovered.
