Freddie became more worried about how he looked as he got weaker. With time, his body became frailer, leading to his inability to perform live. He was able to perform on camera, but it was still a strenuous task for him. He was hardly able to stand at times during his final year. He got to the point where he was bedridden, and that became his deathbed. He wanted nothing more than to keep working. He didn’t want to think about the end. Even so, he knew he hadn’t much time left, and he realized there would be songs he would never be able to finish, such as ‘Mother Love’.

As Freddie became more ill, he began losing his sight. At a certain point, he became so ill that he was unable to get out of bed on his own.
