As it turns out, Freddie was friends with none other than Princess Diana. In the mid-’80s, in order to keep people from recognizing Diana on a night out with Freddie and friends, he dressed her up in drag to disguise her. It worked! They went out to the Royal Vauxhall Tavern, one of the most famous gay bars in London at the time, and no one realized Diana was with the group.
