Off To The Farm
Unfortunately, this player didn’t live up to his contract due to injuries and coaching staff changes. After his nine years with the Rams, he played a year as a backup with Baltimore but without ever taking the field. Over his 96 games, he threw 22,814 yards with 122 touchdowns. After the 20120 season, he retired to a farm in Southeast Missouri with his wife and kids. Now, he maintains the farm daily and founded a non-profit called the Marc Bulger Foundation to help children and veterans.
David Garrard
Remember when David Garrard was the shining star for the Jaguars? Well, that only lasted a few seasons. He got drafted in the fourth round from East Carolina University back in 2002. He began as Byron Leftwich’s backup, who we have already discussed. While Leftwich was prone to injury, Garrard made out well playing large chunks for many seasons. Then he became a starter and faced his own injuries, as well as a decimated offensive line.
