A Tough Situation
The sewer was dirty and often filled with trash, seeing the animals freezing with no access to food was heart-wrenching. That the animals were still alive was a blessing! The team was unsure if the animals were going to be safe, but the least they can do is to try.

They had to decide right away and, for their next step, had to be extra careful. There were two complicated scenarios facing them. She would prefer to rescue the babies on her own if the mother was around the place. If they ever wanted to take the babies out and unexpectedly the mother comes back, she could end up leaving them.
