Mariesa and Chris were under so much stress when they went back home. Storie could lose a dozen babies and that made them nervous for the next 48 hours. They were worried about what would happen to Storie if she did not give birth to the puppies within that time. Even though it was a dangerous and terrible situation, there wasn’t anything they could do for her. However, as they were driving home, Mariesa came up with a brilliant idea.

By then, Mariesa and Chris had read enough articles about trauma and stress to know that they were affecting Storie a lot. Therefore, they tried to create the most comfortable environment they could for the pregnant dog to help her out. In a bedroom, Mariesa picked out a spot specifically for Storie and she placed pillows and blankets for comfort. Then, they brought Storie to the new sanctuary and hoped that it would help her, though, at the time, they did not know a miracle was going to happen.
