In the beginning, Alhanna and Ricky did not know how Keola would behave when they brought Lincoln home. They also had no idea how much time they could allow their two children to spend together. They kept a close watch on Keola whenever she approached Lincoln, although she was good with the baby from the get-go.

They were also happy that Lincoln did not appear scared of Keola. He could always go to sleep without a problem when she was close by. Keola liked giving him small kisses when he was asleep. She was actually treating him as if he was her very own puppy! Her protective instincts were probably set off after she detected the danger and warned Alhanna about it.
