HUGH DOWNS, 97 YEARS OLD
Although Hugh Downs is currently retired, he is best known for his work as a TV host, news anchor, TV producer, and author. His most popular stints were on NBC’s Today during the 1960’s and 70’s. In addition to all of his other talents, Hugh was also a composer and actor. From 1990-1996 he hosted a showcase for classical music on PBS.
