If it wouldn’t rain, the animals weren’t in any immediate danger. All the same, the firemen knew that time was of the essence. Aside from being dark and deep, the enclosure was very cold. Clearly, there wasn’t any time to waste. The firemen had to figure out a plan.

It seemed to the firemen that the trapped animals were very small. Since the sewer grate wasn’t too deep, and yet the animals weren’t able to get out. The team would only need one or two men to pull out the animals. The firemen began prepping for the rescue.
