As young as seven years old, Shirley Temple was awarded a special juvenile Oscar for her contribution to film in the year of 1935. By age 22, Temple had lost interest in acting entirely. She returned to the spotlight in the ’60s but as politician and diplomat, as well as, the US ambassador to Czechoslovakia in 1989.
