“T. O.” was a great wide receiver who earned $80 million while playing for multiple NFL teams, including the Dallas Cowboys and the Cincinnati Bengals. However, his difficult demeanor and touchdown celebrations drew criticism from some quarters. Owens admitted to GQ magazine in 2012 that he had spent almost all of his NFL earnings, primarily as a result of bad investments, child support payments to the four mothers of his children, and the collapse of the real estate market, among other things. His “excessive” touchdown celebrations, such as posing on the star in the middle of the Dallas Cowboys’ stadium twice, resulted in fines of $150,000, which were collected by the NFL. This year, Owens established his own wine label, as well as an athleisure clothing line and a weekly podcast, “Getcha Popcorn Ready with T.O. & Hatch.” He now owns a winery in New York City.

Tiki Barber

According to multiple sources, this former New York Giants running back went bankrupt after abandoning his pregnant wife of 11 years for an intern and having his estimated $300,000-per-year deal with NBC terminated. Barber had worked as a football pundit and contributor to the Today Show before the scandal allegedly violated a concealed “morality clause,” leading to his termination from the network the following year. In 2011, he attempted to return to the professional football league but was unable to do so. Barber has also authored many children’s books, performed in plays, and co-hosted a radio show with his brother, all of which have been published. Tiki and Tierney, a CBS Sports Radio show, is where he currently co-hosts.
