Round Rock, Texas
Another Texas suburb attracting a lot of new residents is Round Rock. It is three hours away from Frisco and not far from the boomtown of Austin. Despite the city’s sweltering temperatures, which averages around the 100s during summer and rarely go below the 60s during winter, Round Rock saw a growth of more than 33% in the past decade, Yahoo reports. Dell’s international headquarters is located in the city, so college graduates who want to work in the tech sector consider Round Rock as one of their go-to destinations.
Mount Pleasant, South Carolina
Not a lot of the fastest-growing US cities are found on the Atlantic Coast. However, Mount Pleasant is. The median household income in this affluent Charleston suburb is $97,176, which is almost twice that of South Carolina’s. The population in Mount Pleasant has exploded from less than 47,000 to about 90,000 between the years 2000 and 2019. WalletHub has reported that when it comes to growth in the past decade, Mount Pleasant is one of the top 10 cities in the nation and one of the top five small cities.
