Everyone is definitely thrilled by The Revenant, the film that finally landed Leonard DiCaprio an Academy Award. However, not even this exciting movie could outshine the story of this 69-year-old hiker. Well, okay maybe it could, but this supposedly true story is quite intriguing considering that Robert could have lost his life while going on an adventure in northern California!

Robert was taking a hike in the north-central region of California in 2012. However, it did not cross his mind that he could face his death on that day. During his hike, he came across a mother bear and her cub and decided to stop and watch them for a while. After the breath-taking view, Robert proceeded with the rest of the trail.
