If you attend any track and field event, it is a given that you will find hundreds of competitors. In 2007, Allison Stokke had been one of those athletes that you will see at a track meet. In high school, she was a part-time model. However, this did not stop her from doing her best to work on her skills as a pole vaulter. She even broke many records as she did so. It all changed for her when a photographer took a photo of her. The young woman turned into a national sensation in no time at all once it was posted!

Meet Allison Stokke
Allison Stokke was born on March 22, 1989. With her parents and brother, she grew up in California. Sports had been a part of her life ever since she was little. David, her brother, was good at gymnastics and even competed in national tournaments. Thanks to his success, her parents also pushed her to give gymnastics a try. After trying it, she soon learned that it was not for her. She did not give up on sports altogether and simply looked for something that suited her better.
