Missi Pyle
You may recognize Missi Pyle from her entertaining performances in films such as Dodgeball and Galaxy Quest, as well as her amusing guest appearances on sitcoms such as Friends and Two and a Half Men. Pyle told The A.V. Club in 2016 that she began booking comedy guest appearances out of necessity. “I was so tall,” she explained. “I was simply too tall to play romantics, and as a result, I gravitated toward comedy.”

Lucy Lawless is a sci-fi icon to an entire generation of people, owing to her role in Xena: Warrior Princess, the 1990s cult action-fantasy show. Nonetheless, the role resulted in some typecasting for Lawless. In 2005, she told Zap2it, “I’m sure there are people who would rather not see me because they believe I’m 7 feet tall.” I am only 5 feet 9 inches tall…” “But then, the average man is, what, 5’8,” she continued, “so I guess I am still a little taller.”
