After high school, the two were forced to maintain a long distance relationship. Liz attended Scripps College in California, and Matt went to St. John’s University to study sociology.

Making Long Distance Work
Despite the distance, they managed to make it work. Matt had a passion for academia and after receiving his B.A., he decided to pursue a Master’s degree at Loyola University Chicago. Liz was very supportive and proud of him.
