During wintertime, people wear winter hats to keep their head warm and comfortable. Sometimes, these hats come with pom-poms. This fashion feature can be traced to Scandinavia, where knitting was very common. To gather the seams, pom-poms were added to hats. These days, however, pom-poms are only an adorable feature!

Airplane Window Holes
You might have freaked out a little when you saw the really small hole in the airplane window, but it is actually very useful. It is the breather hole, which lets the plane’s outer panes deal with the pressure difference as the airplane goes higher. This allows the cabin to remain safe and comfortable. The breather hole will have an air leak if the outer pane ever became compromised!
