Diesel, a former model, appeared in series seven and eight before embarking on a reasonably successful film career. He starred as Russian antagonist Zed in The World Is Not Enough and also appeared as a vampire in Blade 2. He will not reprise his role in Thomas The Tank Engine, contrary to rumors.
