The Highlight Problem
Some people, especially those with kids of their own, had mixed feelings about the story. They agreed that it was going to be upsetting if their kid underwent such a huge makeover without so much as telling them. Of course, they all agreed that Schaffen took it way too far when he decided to chop off her hair.

Unsettling
Some chimed in to say that 13 years old was too young to get color in their hair. For them, Halloween was an exception but even then, it was better to stick to wash-out hairspray and wigs instead. Others said that it was not an issue since it was just temporary. The chopped hair was too much, however.
