Potential Dinner?
The lionesses took care of the baby deer as if it were her own. Which would also raise another question: Where is the baby deer’s mother and what could have possibly happened to it? Could the mama deer have been killed by other predators? Thankfully this lioness was kind to this baby deer. As the photographer watched the interaction, he hoped that it wasn’t some cruel joke by nature and that this kindness was nothing more but a ruse.

Cleaning Up The Baby Deer
In a not-so-surprising turn of events, the lioness began cleaning the baby deer! As for the deer, it seemed like it didn’t seem to mind what the lioness was doing, in fact, it even feels like it was enjoying every bit of it! We’re certain that being alone in the wilderness was a terrifying experience for this baby deer, so having a maternal figure nearby certainly helped the poor deer. Was the lioness genuinely taking care of the cub? Or was she still seeing it as her victim?
