When you’re dealing with an angry sailor, there’s no such thing as drifting away to the happy, carefree island of Neverland. You could argue that drawing a real-life, believable portrait of someone who is so mean and has a hook for an arm is difficult to do. Captain Hook’s entire personality and persona, on the other hand, were perfectly captured by the artist. From the deep-set facial lines to the long, jutting chin to the quirky open-mouthed smile that oozes evil schemes, everything about him screams villainy. Even his eyes couldn’t keep their focus long enough for his portrait to be painted properly. They are darting off to the side in search of the next horrible plot to capture and eliminate his arch-enemy Peter Pan, and they are successful.
