Ruby Tuesday is quite a famous local spot that can somewhat be compared to TGI Fridays and Applebee’s. Initially founded in Knoxville, Tennessee during with approximately 491 branches currently open. They are situated in the East coast area but recently announced that due to a decrease in revenue they would be closing shop to may of their branches.

Marie Callender’s
Home to some of the most delicious pies you will ever find, Marie Callender’s is a local pie-heaven that is particularly famous for their lime pie! Marie Callender’s was the one who started Marie Callender, she came up with the idea and go it running while she was living in a trailer park. Marie initially started baking pies in order to support her family but the restaurant became a massive success. Unfortunately during 2009, the family went through a traumatic event which was the reason the restaurant’s downfall. Marie’s husband passed away due to a head injury and since then the restaurant has been unable to continue successfully, declaring bankruptcy and closing down several many of their restaurants.
