Right Fit
From the start, Chrissy Metz fell in love with the role of Kate. As she said, “This was a role that finally broke down the real issues behind weight; inadequacy, codependent relationships, and living in the shadows.” Once given the audition, everything just fit for her. Once Chrissy Metz actually was offered the part, she was completely shocked. During this time, she had 81 cents to her name, so the role felt like a miracle. Ever since, she’s remained grateful for the life-changing opportunity. Once she got her very first paycheck from This Is Us, she paid back her friends and family who had let her borrow money. At last, she was also able to pay off her bills.
