It’s Pretty Small
The problem with house centipedes is that they aren’t all that large in comparison to other insects. It is their long legs and antennae that give them the appearance of being much larger than they actually are. Furthermore, despite the fact that their name literally translates as “100 feet,” they do not definitely have 100 legs… but those legs do some excellent work.
Lassoing Method
Their front two legs serve as fangs, which are packed with venom, which they use to inject venom into their victims (don’t worry, we’re not referring to you). The centipedes’ other legs allow them to attack and capture insects in their webs. They tether them up in the style of a cowboy… their hunting method is termed as the “lassoing method.” In actuality, how many legs do centipedes have is a mystery.
