However, the film could not afford to pay it, but offered an alternative in the form of a percentage of the profits. Bullock agreed and this turned out to be a good deal thanks to the impressive box office sales.

The Blind Side was actually full of cameos but there was one particular person worth mentioning. Hugh Freeze, Michael Oher’s football coach from Briarcrest Christian School, actually made an appearance in the film! If you want to figure out where and when he appears, he played the assistant coach from the University of Arkansas. You can find him behind Houston Nutt, the real-life coach of the Arkansas Razorbacks. At that point, Freeze was no longer working at Briarcrest as he has moved on somewhere else. Back then, he was serving as the head coach of the Lambuth University football team and later transferred to Arkansas State University in 2011.
