Randy Johnson (6’10”)
This guy’s size is pretty unusual for a baseball player seeing as size isn’t as necessary in this sport as it is in, let’s say, basketball or WWE wrestling! With a large muscle mass and height of 6’10”, Randy Johnson earned the nickname ‘The Big Unit’. He was a player whom everybody always looked out for, though it wasn’t only because he is big but also due to the kind of talent he was on the field. His career in this favorite American sport spans 22 years and he has become one of the most successful and well renowned left hand pitchers ever. With 303 wins compared to 166 losses in his record and an insane 4,875 strikeouts during his entire career, it’s safe to say these are truly impressive stats. He played for the Seattle Mariners and the Arizona Diamondbacks for most of the time he spent in this sport and was inducted to Hall of Fame in 2010, when he retired.
Lisa Leslie (6’5”)
Being 6’5” tall, this sweet woman towers over her teammates as well as a lot of her competitors but actually, she isn’t the tallest female basketball player – someone out there towers over her! She makes it to this list, though, because she is the first ever WNBA player to dunk, has played in the world championships and was once a member of the U.S. Olympic team. Having retired in 2009, she is another star on the list that has turned to acting and has taken up roles in films, such as Sister, Sister and The Game. In addition, she has done some modeling work together with notable names like Newsweek and Vogue.
