Hafthor Julius “Thor” Bjornsson (6’9”)
Hailing from Reykjavik, Iceland, this 6-foot-9, 400-pound man apparently got his towering height from his 6-foot-8 father and his comparably tall mother. When he was a child, many assumed he would be the same as others, but as he was growing up, the family saw that he would become quite massive and they thought he would probably go into a field where he could use this as his ‘strength’. That is what he did exactly and for 6 years now, he has been the star of IMG’s The World’s Strongest Man. He later went into acting, similar to what most of these impressive stars do, and joined the cast of the hit series Game of Thrones, playing the notable character ‘The Mountain’ (Ser Gregor Glegane).
Blanka Vlasic (6’4”)
Another girl who has made it to this list is Croatian Blanka Vlasic for being a tall 6’4” as well as an incredible sports talent. Even though she is very tall, she’s only 163 pounds, which might have helped her jump so high. She is one of the best high jumpers and an indoor world champion, but she doesn’t seem to have plans of quitting the sport anytime soon as she continues to compete for her country. She’s aiming for the 2020 Olympics and with her very impressive track record, she will probably make it! In her career, she has already won a total of 19 international medals, 13 of them gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze.
