Pakistani Mohammad Irfan breaks stereotypes that men from his country are not that tall and with a height of 7’1”, he’s the tallest player in cricket history, beating the previous record of 6’8” by almost half a foot. He’s a star cricket player and a left-armed fast bowler who is not just known for his towering height but also for his impressive talent. He plays first class and international cricket, which earned him a star status with avid fans all around the world (interestingly enough, this sport has a really huge following in Australia and Pakistan, among other places). If you followed the sport, you might have heard the accusations of corruption made against him in 2017 but it’s hard to find out the truth with the media attention, so, we’ll just focus on his achievements instead.

Another lady included in this list is 6-foot-9 Brittney Griner, who is a bit younger than the other sports stars on the list. She recently finished university after studying at Texas’ Baylor University, where she made a name for herself due to her talent in basketball. Originally from Houston, she was the No. 1 pick in the 2013 WNBA draft and she is currently the fourth highest scoring female player in the NCAA Division. Her stats are pretty impressive, with 3,282 career points, and in 2011, she spent two weeks with the US National Team to take part in their training and preparations for the European Tour in 2012. Even though she was still at university at the time, she was included in the top 21 finalists for the US national team in the 2012 Olympics and in 2016, she had her Olympic debut.
