This beauty had to show us all that she was more than a pretty face. A director even called her a “consummate actress, hampered by beauty.” Best known for starring in Gone with the Wind and A Streetcar Named Desire, she has a more prolific stage career. In the last few decades of her life, she fought tuberculosis but succumbed to it in 1967.
