In general, the people in the community liked Mr. Doug. Both the Arby’s staff and customers were glad to hear that the head office gave him a lifetime supply of free meals! When an optometrist in the area heard about it, he decided to drop by and see it happen for himself. We would have done that too!

When this doctor heard about Mr. Doug, he decided to help the war veteran in his own way. The eye doctor was kind enough to give the older man a full check-up for free! Once he saw that the vet needed to upgrade his prescription, the optometrist offered Mr. Doug a free pair of glasses. How nice.
