After starring in Deep Impact, many assumed Leelee Sobieski was going to have a great career. However, it failed to secure her a spot in Hollywood for the years to come. She was nominated for her Joan of Arc performance. In 2012, she said she “doesn’t do movie stuff anymore.” Here’s what she said about going into retirement: “I am just focused on my kids. I think that’s mainly why I stopped… Also, 90% of roles involve so much sexual stuff with other people, and I don’t want to do that.”

In 2007, Nikki Blonsky starred in Hairspray. She worked with A-list actors, although her career never took off the way it could have had. She no longer acts, as a matter of fact. In 2011, she got a cosmetology license and now works as a hairstylist and makeup artist. Some people say she did not make it big because she was overweight.
