This is the last Manchester United team on our list, we promise. The ’98 squad pushed their way through FC Barcelona, Inter Milan, Juventus, and finally Bayern Munich in the Finals in order to host up the trophy. What made this title run so impressive was how much the team struggled during domestic competition. Kind of sounds like the current team run by Jose Mourhino who isn’t so happy with how little support the fans are showing. Or lack thereof.

Franz Beckenbauer was not only the greatest central defender of his generation, but probably of all-time too. Goalscorers also don’t get anymore ruthless than that of Gerd Muller and Karl-Heinz Rumennigge. In the Champions League, Bayern Munich destroyed Real Madrid and Benfica en route to the Glasgow Final, and they managed to achieve history even against a Saint Etienne team.
