Roscoe Tanner
The tall American left-hander was well-known for his alarmingly quick serves during his glory days in the 1970’s. His quickest serve of 246 km/h (153 mph) during the 1978 American Airlines Tennis Games still sits on the top 10 list of fastest serves in tennis history at number 8.

Born in Austin Texas, tall Andy Roddick won the Grand Slam singles title during the 2003 US Open and shortly after made it as the number 1 singles player in the world. Months later during the 2004 Davis Cup, he served the 7th quickest serve ever at 249 km/h (155 mph).
