Going off the last fact, NCIS ranks pretty high as it is overall the 7th longest-running scripted U.S. primetime television series. The six ahead of it are The Simpsons, Gunsmoke, Law & Order, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Lassie, and Family Guy.
