The 1980 Men’s Olympic Hockey team from the United States wasn’t expected to do much of anything. Instead, they went on to bruise past Russia for a 4 to 3 win in the Semi’s before going on to beat Finland for the Gold. This is the greatest story in professional sports and the greatest story in Olympic competition.

First American Skater To Land Triple Axel
Up until the Winter Olympics 2018, there were only two female skaters to ever land the triple axel and they were Japanese skaters. Now, Mirai Ito joins the list of women that have successfully landed the incredible feat. American skater Mirari Nagasu became not just the third female ever, but the very first American female skater to land the triple axel at the Olympic games. Nagasu’s outstanding performance helped her team take home the bronze!
