Shirley wasn’t a huge part of ESPN but he was a freelance contributor in the form of articles. In 2010 Shirley posted a blog regarding the recent Haiti disaster. He essentially said that he refused to help the victims of the earthquake because they won’t do “anything constructive with the dollar I might give”. He also went on to say that, essentially, Haiti should take care of themselves.

Steve Phillips Assistant ‘Problem’

Longtime ESPN watchers will remember Steve Phillips for his job as an MLB analyst. Those same viewers will recall that the analyst was fired in 2009 when he was caught cheating on his wife — with a 22 year old assistant at the office. Phillips’ was summarily divorced and fired.
