Favoritism
Certain ESPN reporters have been accused of favoritism as they tend to focus on talking about certain players on teams in length. Reporters such as Mike Greenberg have been accused of favoring teams like the Yankees, Mets, Red Sox, Patriots, and the Jets.

In September 2015, the wife of Washington Redskins GM Scot McCloughan, Jessica sent out a rather nasty tweet. While her tweet was quickly deleted, the damage had been done. McCloughan had accused ESPN reporter Dianna Russini of giving out “BJs” in exchange for inside stories about the Redskins. She apologized and told The Washington Post, “I deeply apologize for the disparaging remarks about an ESPN reporter on my personal Twitter account. The comment was unfounded and inappropriate and I have the utmost respect for both the reporter and ESPN.”
