The Copper Dead Sea Scrolls
Once archaeologists converged on the location of the Bedouin’s discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls, they didn’t give up until they found more. It would take until 1952 for them to make another scroll discovery. This one was quite different; it was made of copper and it was actually a treasure map. Hebrew writing pointed out where to find gold and silver treasures in 64 different locations. The map dates back to the first or second temple in Jerusalem.

The Screaming Mummy
We all know that the ancient Egyptians would wrap up their loved ones and mummify them to preserve for all eternity. This was an act of love and respect, but was it always? in 1881, at the height of the Egyptian archaeological expeditions, a mummy named “Man E” was discovered and his covered face told a horrific story. Historians believe that he crossed the pharaoh, Ramses, and was therefore poisoned and even buried alive. His bones still showed marks of where he had been bound and just how tightly.
