After becoming such a fan favorite, she joined a season of Dancing with the Stars. However, some tension could be felt between her and the judges as they responded to her performances. Many comments from the judges were in reference to what they interpreted as a lack of emotion from Biles. When the host asked why some of the nicer responses about her routine did not get a smile from her, Biles snapped, “Smiling doesn’t win you gold medals.” Fans loved that she retorted with that powerful response!
