Jaws dropped when Ester Ledecka (Czech snowboarder) took the gold for alpine skiing’s Super-G event. Well, that’s because this snowboarder decided to try the 2018 Winter Olympic skiing event just for fun. She borrowed someone’s skis, but ended up beating out the Austrian skier Anna Veith who was favored for gold. First she didn’t even believe the news, saying, “I really don’t know what happened. You tell me … I was riding. I really don’t know what happened. It was great.”

Unbelievable Morning
Everyone couldn’t get over this American 17 year old’s experience at the 2018 Winter Olympics. First of all, Red Gerard woke up late after a long night of Netflix. He couldn’t even find his jacket so he borrowed his roommate’s. Despite this, he arrived to his morning snowboarding event on time and pulled off an incredible run. Oh and no big deal, but he cursed on international television upon hearing his own final score. The internet went wild over America’s first and youngest to win gold in Winter’s 2018 Olympics. What a legend!
