Meet Olympic gold medalist Ellen Hoog from the Dutch field hockey team. She won gold with her team in 2008. Back in 2006, her team became World Champions at the Women’s Hockey World Cup. Sadly, her father died from cancer only one week after her big European Championship win in Ireland. This strong willed athlete somehow continued on and started the next season despite her tragedy. What a hero!
