Listen, if you ever need some superficial depression treatment then go back and listen to John Madden when he was in the booth. While Madden may have become something of a meme, in between auto insurance commercials on Sunday, he is actually an elite coach. Madden had a winning percentage of 76% throughout his career, topping the modern era. Madden won a Super Bowl and seven division titles before rolling into the Hall of Fame.

Recently he came out and said, “Something has to be done about “Thursday Night Football.” It just doesn’t work.” Madden said. “It’s not only a fan thing, it’s a team thing. It’s a safety thing. It’s a competitive thing. It doesn’t work. I know about money, and I know about business. Maybe you have to tweak stuff a little more. To help teams, maybe you get a bye the week before.”
