Darren Sharper

Sharper was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the second round of the 1997 NFL Draft, and later played for the Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints. Hewas a five-time Pro Bowl selection, and was named to the NFL’s 2000s All-Decade Team. He is sixth on the NFL’s all-time leader list at the time of his retirement. His 13 defensive touchdowns are tied for the most all-time. However his 8 million in net worth is taking a bit of beating as in 2016, Sharper was sentenced to 20 years behind bars after pleading guilty to multiple rape and drug-related charges. Any money he had saved up from his football days have dried up.

Sam Hurd

Hurd was a wide receiver for six seasons. He played college football at Northern Illinois University, and, though he was undrafted, he was signed after graduation by the Dallas Cowboys in 2006. He played for the Cowboys from 2006–2010, before joining the Chicago Bears in 2011. He was released by the Bears after he was arrested on federal drug charges. He was allegedly attempting to purchase and distribute very large quantities of cocaine and marijuana. He was thought to be setting up a drug-dealing network, though he plead not guilty, he would change his plea and received 15 years. He won’t be touching any of the money he earned for a long time, that is if there is any left.
