Jamaal Charles, RB, Kansas City Chiefs
Charles re-injured his surgically repaired knee earlier this season, and unfortunately he might never play again. If he does somehow return to the field, it won’t be with the Chiefs. Kansas City is up against the salary cap and releasing the 29-year-old running back would free up a much needed $7 million.
Darrelle Revis, CB, New York Jets
We’re pretty sure that the only way Revis is back with the Jets in 2017 is if he moves from cornerback to safety and takes a massive pay-cut. If he should refuse, then the Jets will likely cut the future Hall of Famer and go ahead to save $9.33 million in salary cap space for the 2017 season.
