This really tall lady’s full name is Malgorzata Dydek but she’s often called Margo by her fans and on the court. She currently holds the record for being the tallest female basketball player of all time. She weighed 220 pounds – all that muscle and height made her a player who was difficult to mess with on the court, but apparently, it runs in her family since her 6’6” sister is a professional basketball player as well. However, this story sadly didn’t end well because in 2011, she suffered a heart attack and died from the complications according to news reports. What makes this story even sadder is that she was only 37 years old at the time, was pregnant with her third child, and left behind two young sons.

This basketball player makes it to the list for good reason – he is the tallest NBA player of all time, though he shares the title with another player, Manute Bol. Gheorghe Muresan is a basketball player from Romania who weighs 325 pounds, which must not have been easy to deal with considering he had to carry a lot of muscle around the court with speed and agility! He was an excellent player, but he didn’t have as much success in the sport as other players on the list possibly because of the injuries he picked up in his career, which eventually led to his retirement. However, just like others on this list, he did some acting as well and appeared in the comedy film My Giant alongside Billy Crystal.
