Christopher Nolan’s Oscar-winning and five other nominations for best director for Dunkirk. Nolan plunges the spectator into the thick of this film’s epic World War II combat. In the French port city of Dunkirk, 400 British and French soldiers are fighting side by side. Unfortunately, the sea is the sole exit from the city. In the air, German forces are vastly superior. As a result, the Germans are able to bomb the British and French soldiers almost without any resistance. The story of Nolan’s movie is seen via the eyes of two Royal Air Force pilots, some added civilians, and the soldiers trying to flee.

6. Wonder Woman (2017) – Rating: 93%

Gal Gadot shone in her debut appearance as Wonder Woman in a stand-alone movie (and second appearance overall, in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice). A young Diana underwent rigorous training in order to one day become a skilled Amazonian warrior. She had seen a few glimpses of her special abilities, but it wasn’t until now that she fully understood who she was. Gadot’s Diana encounters a pilot who has just fallen into the water in Wonder Woman. The pilot, played by Chris Pine (Steve Trevor), alerts Diana of an impending war in his country. Diana is confident that she can contribute to ending the conflict, and she discovers a lot about herself in the process.
