The Last Days of American Crime’s tagline sound like the anti-Purge: “Two men and a woman plan the heist of the century before a government-broadcast signal wipes out crime forever.” Instead of a government-broadcast signal announcing all crime is legal until sunrise, this one announces crime will be forever banned. Boring? Yep. A few years in the future, the American government is sick of crime and terrorism. That concludes the story. The Last Days of American Crime’s action scenes are less interesting than the world’s most devoted recluse. Yes, the movie is that bad.

Chevy Chase’s National Lampoon’s Vacation and its successors were fantastic. Sadly, National Lampoon’s Gold Diggers is a complete failure. In the movie, Will Friedle plays Calvin and Chris Owen plays Leonard. These two failures come up with a scheme to wed two old, wealthy sisters. When the sisters eventually pass away, Calvin and Leonard think they will inherit their money, but the sisters have other ideas. Unbeknownst to the losers, the sisters plan to murder the men in order to collect the money from their life insurance even though they are poor. Not to worry, the movie is exactly as silly as it sounds. In this garbage, there is no laughter to be found.
