Remove Ballpen Marks
“Has your budding child artist scrawled all over your desk while playing “office,” or has he or she covered a painted wall in your home with a ballpoint original? Keep your cool under pressure. Instead, dab some full-strength white vinegar on the “masterpiece.” with a clean cloth or a sponge to remove the stains. Repeat the process until the marks are no longer discernible. Then go out and get your child a nice, large sketch pad to play with.
Clean Your Sticky Scissors
You should not wash your scissors’ blades if they become sticky or dirty; doing so will increase the likelihood of rusting the fastener that holds the blades together—or the blades themselves—rather than of cleaning them. Instead, use a cloth soaked in full-strength white vinegar to clean the blades, and then dry them with a rag or dish towel to prevent rusting.
