Julie Ege began modeling when she was 15 years old. She finished second in the Miss Norway competition three years later. She went on to compete for the Miss Universe title as well. We find her decision to go to England to better her English and work as an au pair fascinating. She began to take on small parts in the late 1960s. However, Up Pompeii has to be her most important project. She didn’t mind being referred to as a glamour actress as long as it helped her pay her bills.
